Brad Pitt Reveals Which Iconic Action Role He Passed on Back in the ’90s

Sometime in the distant past in Hollywood lead Brad Pitt has been on a hot streak this honor season, regardless of whether it’s getting tongues to sway while he’s in the wings with ex Jennifer Aniston or rolling out a critical acknowledgment discourse at an honor appear. As Pitt causes the rounds in the rush to up to the Oscars, he checked in some time not long ago at the 35th yearly Santa Barbara International Film Festival where he opened up about his profession with Leonard Maltin. During that discussion, Pitt uncovered how he was right around a piece of The Matrix establishment.

Pitt was regarded with the Maltin Modern Master Award on Wednesday night and continued to stop for a moment to talk with Maltin about his own vocation. At a certain point in the discussion, Maltin apparently goaded Pitt to uncover if there has been a job or jobs which he missed. The suggestion here, obviously, is uncovering potential experiences into an other history where Pitt could have featured in a celebrated motion picture we as a whole know and love, leaving us to consider what could have been. Per USA Today’s report, Pitt was hesitant to uncover much before eventually uncovering one job he passed on: a section in 1999’s The Matrix.

“I did pass on The Matrix. I took the red pill. That’s the only one I’m naming … I wasn’t offered two or three. Only the first one. Just to clarify that. I come from a place, maybe it’s my upbringing, if I didn’t get it, then it wasn’t mine. I really believe [the role] was never mine. It’s not mine. It was someone else’s and they go and make it. I really do believe in that. If we were doing a show on the great movies I’ve passed on, we would need two nights.”

In spite of the fact that Pitt didn’t state which job he had been considered for, The Wrap revealed in 2019 and on The Matrix‘s twentieth commemoration that Pitt had been up for the job of Neo. That job eventually went on to Keanu Reeves, who played the programmer turned-friend in need of-the-world for three movies. With respect to Pitt, we will simply need to envision what The Matrix would have been similar to on the off chance that he’d played the job.
